Environment Art & Level Design
Creating environments is one of my passions, and I have been dedicated to bringing these worlds to life through digital modelling and rendering. The projects on this page were created using a combination of techniques and software, including Blender, Unreal Engine, and Unity.
In these projects, I utilized advanced techniques such as shaders, visual effects created with Niagara systems, and animations, along with rigging to bring characters and objects to life. Interactivity was achieved through Blueprints and C++ scripting, enabling dynamic and responsive environments. Each element was carefully crafted to enhance the immersion and storytelling within these digital worlds.
Level Design
This timelapse captures the creative process behind designing an immersive digital environment. From the initial layout to the final details, it showcases my workflow, including terrain sculpting, 3D modelling, lighting, and texture application.
Playtest
This playtest video showcases the functionality and design of the level, highlighting my considerations for navigation, accessibility, and wayfinding. Each element was thoughtfully developed to ensure an intuitive and engaging user experience. From clear visual cues to seamless transitions, the design reflects a balance of artistic vision and practical usability to guide players through the environment effortlessly.
Textures & Assets
This timelapse delves into the process of texturing and asset creation for the camp scene. Using a combination of hand-painted and procedural techniques, I developed materials that bring depth and realism to the environment. Every detail, from the worn fabric of the tents to the rugged terrain, was designed to enhance the narrative potential of the scene.
Digital Scenography
This camp scene represents my approach to set design, crafted to serve as a versatile foundation for animation, film, television, or concept studies. Each element was designed with storytelling in mind, from the carefully placed props to the atmospheric lighting, creating a setting that feels both grounded and immersive.
Dynamic Interactions & Environmental Responsiveness
To bring the environment to life, I utilized Unreal Engine’s Blueprint system to create dynamic interactions. These interactions enable the character to engage with the environment, triggering actions such as opening doors, activating sounds, and eliciting reactions from objects and characters within the scene. This system adds depth and interactivity, transforming the space into a responsive and immersive experience.
